AM2E ASSESSMENT IS

Who’s it for?

The AM2E is for experienced workers who are completing the Experienced Worker Assessment (EWA).

It can only be taken once you have gained the Experienced Worker Qualification – you will have to supply proof of this qualification before you can book the assessment.

If you are considering taking the Experienced Worker Assessment please read this important notice.

If you have non-UK qualifications, you can only take the AM2E as the final step in the EWA process – it cannot be taken on a stand-alone basis. Please read the guidance on the ECS website.

What do I have to do?

The extent of your AM2E Assessment will depend on if you already have gained an AM2 certificate in the past:

  • If you already have AM2: you will only need to take an AM2E supplementary unit – find out more
  • If you do not hold AM2: you will need to take the full AM2E assessment – read the information below.

The full AM2E is broken down into the sections below. We’ve shown the length of time allocated to complete each section, but you’ll be given additional time to read the instructions and prepare before starting the test.

Preparation

The best way to prepare for the AM2E is to use the resources available on the NET website:

  • Download the AM2E Full Checklist which details everything you’ll need to do and ensure you’re confident in each area before you take the assessment.
  • Download our Pre-Assessment Manual for more help on how to prepare.
  • Watch our Top Tips Videos for hints and advice on each section of the assessment.

A note about AM2 Prep Courses: NET and its licensed centres do not support, endorse or recommend any AM2 prep courses. Providing you have been able to complete your Checklist with confidence that you have the skills and knowledge needed for each area of the assessment, the resources provided above will be sufficient for you to prepare.
